![]() ![]() I hope everyone involved in making this production come to life continues to bring magic to Hollywood. I am not quite sure how Season 2 commanded a higher score than Season 1, they were both great, but Season 1 mastered the art of delivering a story and universe in an instant to the viewer. In life we see and experience things that sometimes just manage to harness the "right stuff" and makes your interaction with it a wildly satisfying interaction of emotions and thoughts. The ENTIRE cast delivered, in my opinion, awardable performances. This show takes you places and feel so much more than a production of sets and VFX. I wish I understood how shows like this don't gain the views the so deserve. ![]() Still an outstanding production and addition to the show none-the-less.Īrguable one of the greatest shows of all time and so little recognition. 504 21 Play trailer 0:51 16 Videos 99+ Photos Action Drama Sci-Fi Set in a future where consciousness is digitized and stored, a prisoner returns to life in a new body and must solve a mind-bending murder to win his freedom. He not only killed himself but he also destroyed his stack, meaning it should have 'real killed' him, I.E: dead forever. From what I understand, if someone 'dies' and their stack is intact, they could be 'spun back up'. I gave a 4.5 because I feel the second season didn't fully master the illusion of making the show feel as if it was all real as the first season did. In Altered Carbon, Bancroft kills himself by shooting himself in the stack, I.E: a bullet to the front of the neck. Many fell in love with Kinnaman's larger than life delivery of Takeshi Kovacs, but if there was someone who could take on the complex mechanic of "resleeving" in a show and keeping the essence of the character, Mackie is the one. Many people were highly critical and dissatisfied of Mackie's performance.I disagree. Kinnaman brought Kovacs to life in a way you don't often see in movies and set the bar real high. After a brief scene in which we meet Laurens’ wife Miriam (Kristin Lehman) and the troubled son of the Bancroft line, we get the first one-on-one between Tak and Laurens, and the real mystery. I provided my review to from Season 1 below but I did want to mention that Season 2 was fantastic as well. ![]()
